4 weeks/ 1 month old!

It was a big week for Asher! He turned 4 weeks old on Tuesday, and then one month old on Thursday! Big times at the Zakaryan home. We also had some visitors which was nice for mommy since the days can be long and a bit lonely sometimes.

We had a wonderful visit with our friends the Wilkinsons on Saturday! They brought us the most delightful meal and we got to play with our little buddy, Christian! We missed him. And he got to meet his new friend Asher who was quite interesting to him.

We call Asher's changing table in his room his "happy place" because he loves being there. He gets really happy after we change his diaper and just let him hang out there on the table. I'm not sure why he likes it so much, but I think its great that he loves his room. For those of you still enjoying this blog...thanks for returning... we really are in love with our child, as you can tell!

Owl Outfit

We took these photos yesterday in the owl outfit for Grandma Linda because she loves owls. Asher was practicing his kicking and we thought it was so cute!

a few new ones...

Our little bean is a lot happier since we switched his formula... again! I am really praying that this is the last time.

Look at this sweet smile!

Last night when we gave him the first bottle of the new formula he passed out on the couch BY HIMSELF!!! It was really exciting for us, no rocking, bouncing, soothing, he just fell asleep on the couch. Brent was able to move him upstairs into the co-sleeper and he STAYED ASLEEP! YAY!

3 weeks

Asher is 3 weeks old today! Both mommy and baby are doing better and better all the time. Brent went back to work yesterday after 3 weeks off and it was sad for me, but has to be done! We missed him but really enjoyed the time together when he got home. Below you will see a short video from bath time last night... Asher was so happy in there!

He is starting to enjoy his activity gym a little bit so we keep trying it!

This one is from yesterday... this little outfit has sadly now been retired as it really is too small for him already. I can't believe that. We brought him home from the hospital in this one and now it's too small. WOW!

Brent made Mother's Day very special for me and for our moms. I woke up in the morning to a beautiful breakfast (courtesy of Giada at Home)! It was delicious! He and Asher gave me the most beautiful necklace from Tiffany's, it's a little bean! How perfect? I LOVE it!

We went to the Zakaryan's in the afternoon and Brent, along with the dad's and Jill, made a beautiful meal again... spaghetti with special sauce, Maggiano salad, garlic bread... mmmm! And there were Lama June's for appetizers and brownies with ice cream for dessert! All my favs!

2 weeks...

Tuesday Asher turned 2 weeks old! These two weeks have been the most intense of my entire life. I never knew it could be this hard. But then, he is so sweet and adorable it's all worth it. I am thankful that Brent was able to take an additional week off work for baby bonding and mommy sanity! I really need him. And my mom has been amazing... so helpful and generous. I really needed her too. The Lord has provided where we were in need.

And... THANK YOU to those of you that signed up to bring us dinner. It has been such a blessing to not have to think about cooking or going out. We are truly blessed by your generosity.

2 weeks old and not the best day... it was a rough one.

We had some peaceful time on Sunday! My little man... passed out on mommy!

These next two photos are deceiving as it may lead you to believe that he is sleeping in his crib! On the contrary... he napped for all of about 10 mins in his crib, just enough time to take these cute photos of him. He is actually sleeping only with us these days as it is the ONLY way he will stay asleep for a longer amount of time... and right now... WE NEED SLEEP!

A short video from our attempted photo session yesterday! Not a very happy boy. We think he had some intenstinal issues. We changed the type of formula we are giving him and things have been much more peaceful since then. We also prayed over him and are trying to trust in the Lord for his healing. Come Lord... we need more of YOU!
