A few new ones...

Asher has started to grab and hold onto toys! Granted, he doesn't hold on very long... but still, it counts! Here he is holding one of the easier toys!

Our friend Monica and Jeremy visited Asher this last weekend. They sent him this GREAT shirt when he was born. He loves it as you can tell. :) And he loved meeting his friends Monica and Jeremy. Thanks so much for coming guys... we miss you!

We also had our family from TEXAS in town this last week. It was wonderful to see Ashley and Karen. We just love having them in CA. Asher was not in a very good mood the day they came over which was sad for me... but he was better the next time.

Asher misses you already Ashley...

Apparently Adam likes his fingers in the mouth also. :)

Our little boy is growing up! On top of being able to grab toys he is also holding his head up pretty well these days and is enjoying being on his tummy more and more...

It is still quite short lived but we are always excited. This is how tummy time usually ends... rolled onto his side, hands right back in the mouth! :) I love this kid!

This is how I found Asher the other day after his nap. I try so hard to swaddle as tightly as I can... and yet he still defeats me on many occasions. This was one of those occasions... I came in after his nap and found him just like this! He was so happy to have defeated that swaddle.

Lovin' life!

3 months old and oh so cool!

That little face melts us these days... he is just so freaking cute!
I can't believe he is 3 months old. In some ways I feel like I've been doing this for WAY longer than 3 months and in others it has gone by so fast.

12 weeks!

Our little bean is 12 weeks old now! Can you believe it?

He is a happy little man these days and is OBSESSED with his hands. If he could fit them both in his mouth at the same time he would. He can grab toys now and is enjoying exploring this world of ours (mostly by putting things in his mouth!)

We just adore him!

We were given this awesome gift from some of my parents friends... we LOVE it. It makes being outside quite enjoyable as mommy doesn't have to worry about the bean getting burned. We could even close him inside the bug net if we wanted to... but we don't. Why? Just another great reason for living in CA... no bugs! (Except mosquitos I guess... I have 3 bites from my bday party, but that's besides the point). Here we are outside in "our front yard" just playing in the afternoon!

Walking in San Clemente

Brent and I spontaneously decided this afternoon that we were going to take the bean for a walk in San Clemente... and boy was that a GREAT decision! It was gorgeous and SOOOOO nice to be outside. The new path there is lovely for walking.

Asher was awesome... he slept most of the time...

... even while his daddy went for a swim!

Another great reason for living in CA... the water!

11 weeks... happy baby

Our boy loves to smile these days and we can make him laugh pretty easily! It's wonderful!

He's also becoming quite curious about the world around him...

A small topple... he's still not too steady with sitting up

... but he LOVES it when his daddy makes him laugh!

Summer fun...

We have enjoyed our last week with Daddy at home so much!

We LOVE being outside in the afternoon... the weather has been awesome!

Poppy thought it would be real cute to try his sunglasses on the little man... we thought he looked pretty cool though!

He is just so cute in his car seat... especially in his outfit from Aunt Chris!!

Having Brent home has been a true blessing... God must have known I needed him!
Asher really knows him and LOVES spending time with his daddy!

He's learning to hold his head up and likes to practice on the Nap Nanny!

We celebrated the 4th of July on the 5th with family!
