Lifeguard Tower Day

On Tuesday night we met each other after work at the lifeguard tower at 72nd street in Newport Beach. We try to do it every year on that day. It's a special place for us because it's where Brent took things up a notch in our "friendship" and we started dating. That was only 4 years ago!!! It seems like so much has happened in that time!
















It was a beautiful night and we had dinner at Ruby's on the pier in Balboa. Brent had meatloaf served on a paper plate. :)















We really enjoyed watching these kite boarders debate for about an hour whether or not to put up their sails and let 'er rip. It was super windy and they were all pretty freaked about just getting taken out to sea.

Brent enjoys anything to do with throwing rocks. This time the game was to see how big of a splash he could make in the tide pool.


Since Brent no longer has school on Saturday mornings we decided to celebrate by going down to Laguna for breakfast yesterday! He has been wanting to take me to Las Brisas for quite some time. We had a great breakfast and then went down to the beach to talk and hang out. It became quite sunny and warm while we were there. We enjoy the beach so much.

3 Years - January 10, 2007

This is a little bit old but we just downloaded them to the computer and wanted to post them.















Back in January we went up to Santa Barbara to celebrate 3 years of marriage. It was a relaxing weekend. It rained most of the time. We ate at our favorite places, saw a movie, stayed at the Doubletree, and visited with the Barnetts and the Walters. It was a great anniversary celebration. We spent lots of time looking at the past year and the year to come. We can't wait to see what God has in store!


When we arrived at the hotel there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Brent! It was so nice. We took them home in the car!

Random Life Stuff

Here are a bunch of random pictures that I had from the past few years that I just thought I'd post.

Here is Brent golfing at Sandpiper Golf Course in Santa Barbara last year on his birthday. It was an awesome birthday surprise and Kim rode along in the cart.

Here is Brent running the pizza oven at Ray and Ev's house. We've had enough pizza to kill a small horse over the past year, but we still love it. We're getting pretty good too.



Here's Brent and Ted on their fishing trip to Canada. A 28 lb. King Salmon. Ray and Todd went with them along with a bunch of Kim's family. This was the only fish caught by the four of us all week. Ray, Todd, Ted and Nick were all part of the "Zero Club."




















In May of 2005, we bought our first home in Ladera Ranch, CA. We love it and we love living in South Orange County. Here are a couple of pictures we took when we were in escrow. That's the inspector checking it out.















Brent as the Cat in the Hat at a Lindamood -Bell event last year. There has never been a sweatier moment in his life.
















In February Brent and Todd attended the "Wild at Heart Boot Camp" in Colorado. It was a good time of connecting for them and they learned a lot. This photo if of them with John Eldredge.

We have only good memories from our wedding day. We have never felt more full, filled to the brim with love. And our cups definitely spilled over. God's blessing was poured out on this day in our lives and we are grateful!

I thought it would be appropriate that we start a blogspot since everyone else seems to be doing it these days. We aren't really into MySpace so this is going to be our little spot on the web. Fun!
