6 Years...

... of Life Guard Tower Day!

This year there was a lot of construction going on in our special place... huge land movers doing God knows what.

It was wonderful to get a little *love* time with my husband. He is a great man!

And of course we brought Asher with us to the life guard tower this year!

And, per usual, Brent played his regular trick and WON! Enjoy the video below.

Maternity Leave

... has been great so far! I am enjoying the time to relax and get ready for our little man to arrive. Here is a recent belly shot... he's getting big!

Paige is home! Just in time for Asher's birth Paige came home from Thailand with Sean. It was so wonderful to finally meet him in person. They seem so happy and content together... I am excited for them. I met them along with Marci and Chris for dinner this week at Cafe R&D. It was so much fun to be together again. I think they enjoyed me being the 5th wheel!

Yesterday I got to have lunch with my friend Liz and her little cutie, Hailey. Sadly, I got no photos of me and Liz... but Hailey was a little ham! This is her with her friend "Guy!"After lunch with Liz and Hailey I visited my cousin Kate and her new little one, Madsen. It was a wonderful day... lots of visiting, which I love.

The making of Asher's room...

My amazing husband built our son the most beautiful room!

The process...

His friend Mark came to help on the first day (THANK YOU MARK) and then it was up to Brent to finish on his own. I really wasn't much help in there at all.

You wouldn't know unless you've tried it, putting up bead board is NO SMALL CHORE! Nail guns, caulking, painting, jig saws, rasps, miter saws, small crowbars, sawhorses, and many more tools are necessary. Brent's kept telling himself two bits of wisdom that the Morrissey's gave him.
1) Perfection is the enemy of completion
2) Caulking will be your best friend, it fixes everything

But in the end... it's all worth it!!! His room is truly amazing!

Notice the new frame around the window... and our new rocking chair!

His bookcase filled with toys and books and blankets already! And his very own little chair from the Fullmers!

New paint on the walls, bead board, new chair rail and even new base boards!

The painting on the wall was a gift from my parent's friend, Allyson who is amazingly talented with watercolor. And the changing table, a wonderful blessing from my grandma June.

His crib! And the letters for his name from Aunt Gena.

More of the detail... frame around the window box, the bead board, new mirrored closet doors, and of course, monkeys!

The picture of Brent and his grandad apparently hung over his grandparents bed for more than 20 years. Now we have it and we thought it only right to put it in Asher's room since Brent loved his grandad so much!

WE ARE READY for you... come now little man!

Our little monkey...

... is almost here! We can't wait to meet him and to see that little face. Just 20 more days until he's due. It can't come soon enough for me! I will post some new photos of his little room later today but for now, enjoy the monkeys! :) -Kim

Hauns Visit CA!!

It has become an annual tradition that the Hauns come to visit CA for Casey's birthday... he likes it that way! And this year was no exception... we just finished a wonderful weekend with our friends and miss them already!

They arrived Thursday night and started off their trip with dinner from In-n-Out. On Friday morning Casey and Brent golfed at Arroyo Trabuco while Cheryl and I had breakfast with my mom! She also took us to Nordstrom and bought us matching "nursing covers" since we are both expecting a baby very soon!

After golf we met the boys at the course for some lunch!

It was a beautiful day!

On Friday night we took them out for Casey's birthday to Simply Fondue in San Juan Capistrano. What was supposed to be a 2 hour meal turned into 3 1/2 thanks to our buddy and server, Nick!

Here we are at the beginning of the evening, around 8pm... ready and excited about our upcoming meal!

It started with a yummy salad and then a cheese fondue! We tried the mediterranean and the spicy jack cheese options. After the cheese came the entree plates... all kinds of yummy meats to cook on our grills!

Cooking takes some time... but it is SOOO worth the wait. Mmmmmmmm...

We laughed... alot!

Around 11pm we made it to the dessert fondue... OH MY!

It was divine!

Cheryl and I found it awesome that both of our sweet husbands would carry our purses for us without any complaints!

On Saturday, after the boys had hair cuts with Abby in Corona Del Mar, we headed up to Long Beach to hang out with Marci and Chris. We had In-n-Out AGAIN to make C-Don happy. And then we rented a Duffy boat and tooled around the canals and harbor for a couple of hours. It was beautiful and peaceful out there.

We enjoyed a beautiful bottle of wine from my dad and lots of yummy treat!

It was wonderful to spend some time getting to know Chris and being together!

On Sunday we went to church and the boys went golfing again. Cheryl and I met Marci and Chris for lunch and gelato at Fashion Island. In the evening we went to my parents house for a great dinner. All in all, it was a wonderful trip. I am so thankful that we had this time before our little ones arrive! Asher is due April 16th and Jett Remington Haun is due May 1st. We shall see!
