Brent made Mother's Day very special for me and for our moms. I woke up in the morning to a beautiful breakfast (courtesy of Giada at Home)! It was delicious! He and Asher gave me the most beautiful necklace from Tiffany's, it's a little bean! How perfect? I LOVE it!

We went to the Zakaryan's in the afternoon and Brent, along with the dad's and Jill, made a beautiful meal again... spaghetti with special sauce, Maggiano salad, garlic bread... mmmm! And there were Lama June's for appetizers and brownies with ice cream for dessert! All my favs!

Asher & Madsen Meet

2 weeks...

Tuesday Asher turned 2 weeks old! These two weeks have been the most intense of my entire life. I never knew it could be this hard. But then, he is so sweet and adorable it's all worth it. I am thankful that Brent was able to take an additional week off work for baby bonding and mommy sanity! I really need him. And my mom has been amazing... so helpful and generous. I really needed her too. The Lord has provided where we were in need.

And... THANK YOU to those of you that signed up to bring us dinner. It has been such a blessing to not have to think about cooking or going out. We are truly blessed by your generosity.

2 weeks old and not the best day... it was a rough one.

We had some peaceful time on Sunday! My little man... passed out on mommy!

These next two photos are deceiving as it may lead you to believe that he is sleeping in his crib! On the contrary... he napped for all of about 10 mins in his crib, just enough time to take these cute photos of him. He is actually sleeping only with us these days as it is the ONLY way he will stay asleep for a longer amount of time... and right now... WE NEED SLEEP!

A short video from our attempted photo session yesterday! Not a very happy boy. We think he had some intenstinal issues. We changed the type of formula we are giving him and things have been much more peaceful since then. We also prayed over him and are trying to trust in the Lord for his healing. Come Lord... we need more of YOU!

Asher's first days...

The first week and a half of Asher's life have been quite overwhelming. We are IN LOVE with him, but the adjustment has been incredibly hard on both of us. We are making strides though and are thankful for the little graces the Lord has given us. Please keep us in your prayers as Brent found out today that he has a sinus infection and now has to wear a mask when holding or dealing with Asher. Luckily Asher loves his daddy in spite of the funny mask.

He got to meet his friend Owen last night... maybe their next meeting will be more of a meeting! But we were blessed to have the Saukkola's here!

Poppy was here yesterday and got to hold a very content and sleepy boy!

Our "niece" Paige

This picture was so freaking cute I could not help but post it... this is my cousin Laura's little one on Easter!! She is such a cutie pie. I miss her, it's been way too long since I've seen her. Laura is due with baby #2 in a couple of weeks... I am hoping it's a boy so that Asher, Madsen (Kate's son) and Laura's little boy can grow up together. We shall see!
