Redding to visit Todd

Brent and I spent the night in Malibu after Huy and Holli's wedding and woke up at the crack of dawn the next day to get to the airport and fly to Redding for Todd's graduation from 2nd year at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. When we arrived many from my family were already there so we went sight seeing (even though it was over 100 degrees outside, no exaggerating)!

Our first stop... Bethel Church!

I was amazed by how big the property is... and it is in a beautiful place. Isn't that just like God to provide a wonderful place. Todd wanted us to see the prayer house.

We went inside and hung out for a few minutes, just taking in the breathtaking views and worship music. There were many people in their praying and being with God so we didn't stay long.

Next stop... the Sacramento River. We walked out on a trail a little ways and came to this awesome view. Can you see the Sundial Bridge in the picture?

If it weren't blistering hot I could have stayed here for a while, it was breathtaking.

As you can see in this photo of my dad and Paige, there is no railing, it's just a straight drop off into the water. My dad has a squeamish stomach when it comes to things like this so he was "in charge" of keeping Paige safe! Good job Dad!

Next stop... the Sundial Bridge! Apparently it was built very recently, 2002 I think. And it's unbelievable. So random in Redding.

It's an actual real sundial. It is only 100% correct one day of the year, June 21. Every other day it is within 10 mins.

That night we had dinner together at Cattleman's in Redding before the graduation started.

Then we went to the graduation... Bill Johnson spoke after some amazing and awesome worship!

The next morning we met at the Black Bear Cafe for breakfast. Paige was the total entertainment... well, at least for me she was.

She gets really excited about food. I got to feed her rice cereal with mashed avocado... mmmmmmm!

After breakfast we said goodbye to my parents, the Fullmers, and the Morses. We hung out for the afternoon with Laura, Aaron and Paige and then they left around 4.

That night Todd and Mary took us to one of their favorite restaurants in Redding, the Moonstone. We had a nice long meal, really yummy and organic. We loved it! Then we went back to the Sundial Bridge to see it at night. The bridge is awesome at night, all lit up. We walked down a path along the river trying to find the pond where the turtles live. But alas, it was too dark to see any turtles when we got there. But it was a really nice walk after a big meal.

The next morning Todd picked us up at 5:45 and we got on a plane back to LAX and had to go to work! Crazy. But we had so much fun being with Todd and getting to see Redding. I really want to go back, it is beautiful up there. I love where he lives and I loved getting a little picture of his life. I can't believe he lives so far away these days. But he seems truly content and connected and happy there. And I love that.

Holli + Huy = H2DO

Huy and Holli were married on May 17th at Calamigos Ranch! Obviously it was very special for Brent and I since we were married under the very same tree a little over 4 years ago. The Do's did an amazing job planning a beautiful evening, all the details were beautiful. The presence of the Lord was there again during their ceremony and I felt incredibly happy being there. Brent and I arrived about a half hour before everyone else so we had some time just to ourselves in our special place. We prayed over the site and had a chance to just take it all in before the festivities began. I was so thankful for the time. It was just as beautiful and magical as I remembered. Thank you Lord for this wonderful place.

The inside of the tent has gotten even cooler since our wedding. All the lights wrapped in fabric was beautiful... and those paper lanterns, WOW! I was so impressed.

G Haugh gave a great toast at the wedding, pronouncing his singleness. We had a good laugh. We had a beautiful meal, did some dancing and watched a slideshow that Huy made. It was great to see Huy as a little boy. SO funny!

Mr. and Mrs. Do made a grand exit into their H2 Hummer and drove away. They will be gone for a month for their honeymoon. Congratulations Dos!!
All in all, a good time was had by all... especially the Zakaryans!

Saturday night...

And then... last night I got to go to the theater again! Linda, Jill, and I went to see "Wicked" at the Pantages Theater in LA. It was amazing. The sets and lights, WOW! And the two that play the lead are awesome. I had no idea I would like it as much as I did. And it was SO much fun to be with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law, just the girls! We ate at Maggiano's at the Grove nearby, and then raced over to the theater, we barely made it to see the opening act. I love the theater, it's so much fun. If you haven't seen this show, go! But then, I am probably one of the last who hasn't seen it. :) I think it's been here for several years!

Time with Marci...

Last Friday I went to see this show with Marci at the Ahmanson Theater in LA. It was awesome. She and I love this movie and were really excited to see it on stage. And it did not disappoint... the acting was great, Eliza's voice was awesome, and the whole experience was really fun. It's been a long time since I've been to the theater. Thank you for taking me Marci!

Lake Mission Viejo

Brent took me on a fun date on Friday night. I'm always wanting to go to Lake Mission Viejo! He found a restaurant there called Tortilla Flats. I've heard of it because apparently you can get married there and I remember it from when we were looking! Anyway, it was so much fun to explore a new area, and our dinner was yummy! I love dating this man!

Carousel...

This is Addison and Cameron! They came to visit me a couple of weeks ago. We went on the carousel at the Spectrum together. They loved it! Actually, Cameron was a little scared but she made it and wanted to do it again afterward. But we didn't have any more "pennies!"

Grandma June turns 81!

We celebrated at her favorite restaurant - The Five Crowns, in Corona Del Mar. She enjoyed her steak and mashed potatoes and we all had a good time together, celebrating her. We can't believe it's been a year already since her big 80th birthday bash. Here comes 90!

Our friends, Meredith and Horacio, have a little one that just turned ONE! I got to go to his birthday party. He is so cute... just learning to walk and doing very well at it. Happy 1st Birthday little man!
