on saturday morning, september 1, we received the call around 9 that laura was in labor. we'd been waiting and were ready to hop in the car. my mom and i hopped in the car and headed up to fresno. we missed the birth by about an hour and a half, but we made it before visiting hours were over to see little paige. on our way up we got the call that she was born and then not long after that we saw this street sign...
so... technically i think she is my second cousin but that just isn't good enough so for all intents and purposes she is my neice. we decided yesterday that i get to be auntie kim! yay!

the twins were amazing... there was TONS of twinning the entire time we were there. after visiting hours were over the night she was born we went to mimi's for dinner. they had the same glasses and didn't even know it!laura spent the night at the hospital and we stayed at their new house in fresno - it is a great house! jen and i spent the morning putting the baby room together (they just moved in last weekend). the room looks adorable - green and brown with little elephants. pink is going to look great in there. i think the pink additions will be made quickly. mom and aunt marilyn went on sunday morning to target to buy some pink clothes, they could NOT wait!
we had to come home in the afternoon on sunday. we'll get to see little paige in about a month at kate's wedding. can't wait... for both!
