Disco Fever...

It was Shannon's 30th birthday and she partied like a rock star... a 70's rock star!! She danced the night away and enjoyed every minute. It was so fun to be there to celebrate this birthday with her.

Brent was dressed to impress in my dad's jacket from his high school graduation!!

It was great to see Cayce! She has been on maternity leave for a couple of months so we haven't seen each other as much. And even though I see Jackie almost every day... I almost didn't recognize her. Is that wig awesome or what?

My costume was called the "psychodelic housewife"... hmmm...

Keith made an amazing dancefloor... so authentic!!!

Most of the pictures are with a flash so you don't really get the full effect but these two show more of what the party was really like. A true disco ball with a spotlight on it, fog, and a dance floor... what more could you ask for?

The party was really fun... so fun to see all my coworkers dressed up and having so much fun. Sadly I didn't get any pics of Brittany and Josh on the dance floor. Sorry Britt! Thanks to the Morrisseys for having us all to their house. It was the perfect place for the party. I hope Shannon felt very loved!! Happy 3-0 Shan!!

Cheryl and Casey...

Cheryl and Casey drove to Fort Worth on Saturday morning to pick us up. We had a big breakfast at the Paris Coffee Shop with Brent's parents, Jill, and Ashley. It was so great to see them... we just love these two.

After breakfast we were trying to find the freeway and we ran right into Brent's grandad's warehouse. We couldn't believe it. Brent hasn't been there in many many years but it was just like he remembered. We had to stop for a photo!

One the things Casey was most excited to do while we were there was brew some BEER. He has gotten very into this lately. Who knew that Homebrew stores actually exist. I was amazed.

On Sunday the boys went golfing (in the rain) and then came home to do the brewing. Cheryl and I had a relaxing day inside doing lots of cooking and baking. We made chili (well mostly Cheryl did that), and tomato appetizers (that turned out terrible because we didn't have the right ingredients), and 2 pumpkins pies. Even though Thanksgiving was over we wanted to try and make them on our own. They were SO yummy!!

We spent lots of time with their animals... Soloman the cat, Jade the dog, and Bixby the dog!!

On Monday we went to Frisco... where Casey grew up. We got to see his sister's new house, just a couple houses away from their parents. It was a beautiful home. And her two little boys, Brady and Beau, are adorable!!

They wanted their gumballs... they almost didn't fit in their little mouths. It was so funny.

We had to leave on Monday evening. Before we left for the airport I fell asleep with the cat. Its just to wonderful and cozy at their house. It was a great visit overall. It was the 4th time we've gotten to see Cheryl and Casey this year, I think that's a record. Brent and I just love them and hope to see them lots in 2008 also!

Best Lights Ever...

I have NEVER seen Christmas lights this spectacular. Apparently this family in Fort Worth does this elaborate display every Christmas. We were truly amazed. Each tree trunk was wrapped tightly and the trees with the net of lights covering all the leaves... unbelievable. Sadly, as it often happens, the pictures really don't portray the reality, but you get an idea...

Honey turns 80!!

Brent's grandma, whom we lovingly call "Honey" turns 80 this December and she has never had a birthday party. So, her children got together and threw her a spectacular party. Lots of her friends were able to be there and all the family came to Texas for this big event. It was Friday night, the 23rd. The grandkids were the lucky ones to have the birthday girl at our table.

Linda, Ted, Honey, Danny, and Katie

Linda and I did the flowers and decorations together. We came up with the red and gold theme a few months ago and then we went with it. It was SO much fun. And the room looked so beautiful with the flowers and things on the tables.

It was really nice to meet Linda's best friend from college, Carol. They got to sit together and visit during the party, looked like they were having a great time catching up.

Brent and I are giving Honey this little book that everyone signed. I brought it home to finish with all these photos. It was really fun to make.

The many faces of Ashley... boy, do we love her. We miss her already!!!

Ashley was recently given these stylish new boots as a gift from a man working at the Justin Boot Co. She was very happy about this gift and was proud to show them off at the party. Cutest cowgirl boots I've ever seen. They have pink on them!!

Oh Jill... I took this photo of Jill and thought it was so funny that she posed with her hands like that. We all had a good laugh (as usual) and then decided that we should all have photos with our hands...

Even Honey joined in the crazyness... we were laughing so hard that people at the others tables were wondering what all the raucous was about. We just laughed more...

We ended the night with WAY too many family photos. It was truly insane. We got some great pics but I'm not sure it was totally worth it. All in all the party was a success because Honey was really happy. She enjoyed seeing all her friends and family so much. And all she wanted was to see all her grandkids, and she got that wish!! Happy Birthday Honey!!
