I told Brent that I could probably think of at least 50 more "things about me." He didn't believe me but here they are...

1. i had a fish tank in high school. i loved falling asleep at night with just that light on and the sound of the filter. i often woke up to dead fish in the morning, sadly.
2. i dry myself off after a shower in the same way every single day.
3. i take a shower everyday, sometimes twice.
4. i can be pushy, trying to convince people of things. i've worked very hard on checking myself when i feel this happening. it's a part of my personality to be a saleswoman.
5. i like hugs... alot, from friends, family, brent, doesn't matter. i just like them.
6. i wear REEF flip flops
7. i own way too many purses of all sizes and colors, my husband does not understand the obsession at all.
8. i am a bit obsessive about wallets, just ask my brother or brent. they will tell you that i am very particular about wallets not having cards with "crud" all over them from being in their pockets all day. i also like getting new wallets for me.
9. i don't like carry-on luggage, i think it's a hassle. i would rather check bags and take the time to wait once i get off the plane. it's never really that long.
10. i started buying furniture for myself when i graduated from college because i wanted a more sophisticated room. i've always been really into decorating.
11. i always write thank you notes
12. i am very organized. i like things to have a place and i don't like clutter. my motto is "when in doubt, toss it out". i would rather not hoard... anything.
13. i love the 1970s Porsche that brent drove when we were dating in high school. it doesn't work anymore and brent's mom would really like to get rid of it. i would be sad if that happened. i have such great memories in that car. i used to watch for brent when he was coming to pick me up and think about how cool it was going to be to ride in that car with him.
14. i like the idea of community living... i would love to live in close community with friends and raise kids together, eat together, pray together... really live together.
15. i don't throw up easily when i'm sick, i have a really strong stomach.
16. i like planners and planning, but not the details, just the big picture. i like to know what my whole month looks like, not the day to day little things. i rarely make "to do" lists.
17. i have made the drive between Santa Barbara and LA hundred and hundreds of times in my lifetime.
18. i failed my permit test (when i was 15) two times, finally passed on the third try
19. i passed the driving test on the first try, 16th birthday.
20. my grandparents bought me a brand new, black, honda, civic for my 16th birthday. i was so blessed.
21. kids used to call me "flat face" or "flato" in elementary school. i still don't really know why. i think it was just to be mean. moving to Villa Park in 4th grade was really hard.
22. i had my first kiss in the 6th grade. my boyfriend, jason, kissed me at a Halloween party while we were slow dancing. i stayed up half the night talking to my friend courtney about it.
23. i had my first real kiss when i was 15, first boyfriend, first real date, all that!
24. brent first kissed me on my parents front porch on july 8, 1996
25. i won an iPOD nano at work this year, the red one!
26. i became a christian when i was 5 years old, my mom prayed with me to receive
27. i like worship music the best. i mostly listen to jason upton in my car. he is my favorite artist
28. top three days of my life... 1. wedding day (i know it's cliche but VERY true), i've never felt that "full to the brim" at any other time in my life. 2. white water rafting in Costa Rica with my girl friends from college. 3. sea kayaking in New Zealand, even though my arms were completely out-of-order for the next several days after, it was totally worth it
29. the day after we graduated from college, my friends and i surprised two of our friends and flew to Costa Rica to spend 10 days with them. it was the best surprise we've ever pulled.

31. i love the look on someones face when you do something out of the blue and nice for them, that quick moment when they just feel overwhelmed and thankful and surprised
32. most people can tell when i am angry or hurt, i seem to wear those emotions on my sleeve
33. i have worked very hard to hide that from clients... i find that my best approach is to get quieter and speak slowly. it works most of the time.
34. i talk WAY too loud when i am excited. i could never count the number of times i've been asked or told to "keep it down." sometimes people think i'm yelling at them. it's really sad
35. as you might be able to tell, i like writing... in all forms. any time there is a form to fill out, name tags to be written, envelopes to be addressed - i'm there and i really enjoy it. it's not a chore
36. i also enjoy cleaning for the most part. i really like a clean house. the only place i really despise cleaning is the shower.
37. i like house plants. i don't have a very green thumb and have gone through a fair amount of nice plants over the last few years, but i really like them in a home
38. i love the beach but don't really love being in a bathing suit much
39. my favorite bathing suit right now is turquoise and i love that

41. i love my family. my mom is definitely one of my best friends. my dad and i are the most alike, its a little freaky sometimes. and my brother is one of my favorite people on the planet, he is different than me.

43. i don't really have a favorite movie. a few i really like are: moulin rouge, 16 candles, say anything, the game
44. most recently i have been obsessed with renting seasons 2,3, and 4 of the show 24. i freaking love that stuff. i've been known to watch 4 episodes in a row and have no problem with it. i had to promise to take the month of august off because brent was tired of them. i could have kept going!
45. i don't like tomatoes on anything, i always order food with those off
46. i am known to fall asleep on the couch easily
47. my friends have always said i am not nice to wake up from a nap, i tend to be kind of a nightmare when i am woken up
48. i played basketball in high school. i quit my junior year because it wasn't fun anymore
49. there is a brick with my name on it set into the ground at my high school. brent's name is right next to mine
50. i went to my senior prom with brent's best friend, phil because brent took another girl... sad!
51. i always put my makeup on in the car in the parking lot at work
52. i never make my bed in the mornings
53. i drink a green, veggie drink every morning
54. i don't try new things (especially food) very easily
55. i don't like spicy food, i feel like my tongue and lips are on fire and that bothers me
56. i get "freeze frame" when i drink too much, or i fall asleep
57. math is not my favorite subject... i am not good at doing math in my head
58. i drink a fruit smoothie for breakfast almost everyday
59. traditional roles did not work in our marriage... i still do a lot of cleaning but brent does almost ALL of the cooking. he likes it. i do laundry, which he hates.
60. more often than i'd like i forget my cell phone at home. brent tries his best to help me remember, it's such a weird thing to not have my cell phone all day.
61. most days i talk on the phone on the way to work and the way home... that's the best time for me to talk
62. i love that i married a musician
63. i put lotion on my legs and arms every day
64. i don't wear makeup on the weekends if i can get away with it. and i don't wear much even then i do wear it. it just takes too much time.
65. i never learned the right way to type so i have my own version. it's probably not as efficient as it could be but it gets me by

67. i am particular about spelling errors... brent hates it when i correct his spelling (i agree it's annoying but sometimes it happens before i really think it through)
68. i generally look at life as a glass that is half full

72. i wet my pants on the front porch of our house when i was in second grade because my mom didn't make it home in time from picking up my brother from pre-school. i was crying and peeing as my mom pulled into the driveway
73. we had a dog named Trusty and a cat named Felix during most of my childhood. they were great pets.
74. i love pedicures but can't afford to get them as often as i would like
75. i never get a manicure because i have oily nail beds and the polish peels off in a day or two. its sad. the polish peels off in whole pieces, the shape of my nail.
