100 things about me... kim

so brent's cousin ashley "tagged" us to be the next to complete the task of listing "100 things about me..." so i am going to attempt to do so. here goes:

1. i live in southern california, where i grew up (just about 30 mins from my parents
2. i like south orange county much better than where i grew up in north OC
3. but my dream place to live would be santa barbara... I LOVE SB
3. i went to college there and lived there for a couple of years after college, why did i ever move?
4. oh yeah, i met my husband when i moved back to the OC. i am married to a wonderful man whom i am very thankful to our God for
5. i met my husband when i was 13, 8th grade, french class
6. i wish i spoke better french, i really only remember a small amount of vocabulary and that's not really enough
7. i remember numbers and letters easily, like license plates, phone numbers, etc.
8. i have a strange fetish - i like to peel things
9. one of my all time favorite foods is avocado - i could eat one every day
10. same with pineapples, i LOVE THEM... even though they give me canker sores :(
11. i love scrapbooking, i love the artistic part but really don't have enough time these days to do much of it which saddens me
12. i want to have children, maybe 4
13. my husband and i will probably find out the sex of a baby before we have it, but we won't share the names that we like until a baby comes
14. i love working with children, all kinds
15. i love talking to kids and making faces at babies that i don't know
16. i totally have a staring problem and i am not ashamed of it (much to my husbands chagrin)
17. i don't cry easily in movies, but when i do, it's serious... like the time i had to leave the room during "Glory" because i was crying so hard they couldn't hear the movie
18. i am VERY sensitive to injustice, especially towards children - it infuriates me
19. i have been working out 5 days a week for 8 weeks, WOW
20. i like organic things - soap, dish soap, shampoo, fruit, veggies... i think the more natural, the better
21. i wish i didn't have to work so much, but i do love my job, unlike many that i know. it's rewarding and i am using my gifts and talents to the best of my ability. it's a good spot for me.
22. i want my next job to be "mommy" (see # 12)
23. i don't like to see any problems with skin like cuts, burns, gashes, deformities... it really make me queasy (or gives me b.c. for those that know what i mean)
24. i spent almost 3 weeks in New Zealand for our one year anniversary... it was amazing
24. i really want to visit Greece and Italy next
25. i love traveling
26. several of my friends from college and i have gotten into the habit of talking to each other in a makeshift texas accent... we love it, but it really bothers my husband
27. i have one brother, he lives in Redding, CA, about 10 hours from here. i miss him and always look forward to connecting on the phone and time in person
28. we are going on a stromback family vacation in a couple of weeks to Tamarack, Idaho - i can't wait!
29. i am also going to Dallas for thanksgiving this year to visit brent's family and to see our friends cheryl and casey
30. i got married in malibu, a place called calamigos ranch. we honeymooned on isla mujeres, off the coast of cancun, mexico
31. i love our church - vineyard community church in laguna niguel
32. i was a gymnast for 12 years when i was young, then i got too tall and decided to play soccer instead
33. i used to talk in my sleep, my family tells all kinds of crazy stories about things i've said and done in the night. i wouldn't know if i still talk because brent is the hardest sleeper you've ever seen
34. right now we have a queen size bed but someday i would like a king
35. i ate a snail right off the curb when i was two, my friend Annie (who was older than me) had to scrape it out of my mouth
36. i am strong willed and often get my way, i'm a first born
37. i like being a leader
38. i have lots of really good friends and most would say i'm a loyal friend, i think
39. i love to give gifts
40. my favorite treats are peanut m&ms and cheesecake
41. my favorite foods are bbq chicken salads and cheeseburgers
42. my drink of choice is an arnold palmer (half lemonade, half iced tea)
43. my favorite drink-drink is an amaretto sour
44. i never drink much because it makes me REALLY sleepy, i think i might be allergic, especially to wine (which is sad because i like the taste)
45. i don't like coffee, at all. the only thing i ever drink with coffee in it is an "Ice Blended Mocha" from coffee bean and tea leaf.
46. at starbucks i drink a peppermint hot chocolate (not just at christmas, all year around) or a passion tea lemonade
47. my favorite restaurant is Bandera in Corona Del Mar - i love the queso dip, the macho salad, and the cheeseburger there
48. i don't like long waits at restaurants, which makes Bandera tough sometimes
48. i LOVE sushi - crunchy roll, caterpillar roll, and my new fav... the t.n.t. roll!

50. my favorite meal with brent of all time was at La Fondue in Saratoga on a little vacation we took up the coast of CA when we were first married
51. one of my best friends is a missionary in thailand, i am so proud of her. she is so full of joy.
52. i am living in our first home, it's in ladera ranch, i am really enjoying owning a home, decorating, painting, having it the way we like it. it's so much fun.
53. we just bought a new car this summer, a white, chevy tahoe. the car is brent's but i drive it once in a while, it's great.
54. i sucked my thumb until i was 9. i always had my doggy with me at first, then any zipper or textured wall would do(i know, it's strange)
55. i love writing and receiving cards
56. really i like paper, of any kind mostly, and i like correspondense.
57. my favorite store to shop for clothes is Ann Taylor LOFT
58. i like no lights on in the bathroom when i shower in the morning. i like to wake up slowly.
59. i like candles... all the time.
60. i NEED time alone or i can become a real beast. i love people, but i also need the time to myself or i have meltdowns like my dad
61. i am a lot like my dad in many personality traits (my husband is very much like my mom, interesting?)
62. i am not a detailed person (i am much better with large vision and the big picture). the lack of detail gets me in trouble a lot: i forget things easily, i seemingly miss the "obvious", things get messed up because of one small thing that was missed, sometimes it's bothersome.
63. i see a chiropractor regularly and i love it
64. i don't like sleeping with socks and i NEVER do it
65. i also really hate night gowns
66. i don't like wearing skirts much because i don't like my legs to touch together
67. i wear a lot of black, white, brown, and green... a little pink and blue but not much
68. i have a green sweatshirt that i bought on lay-away when i was in the 6th grade, it still fits and i LOVE it
69. i enjoy taking pictures (especially with my new, tiny camera), and i like blogging
70. i love my extended family. my cousins are like sisters to me, really. i have 3 cousins that are all very close in age and we are like sisters. since i don't have any sisters, they are the closest to it. One of them is having a baby any day and another is getting married in october and i can't wait for both events
71. my mom has an indentical twin and i would love to have twins
72. my parents have been married for over 30 years and so have brents
73. i prefer cats over dogs
74. i like frogs
75. (like ashley) i used to collect dolls, and key-chains too
76. i had 12 cabbage patch kids when i was younger (2 were the premies that smelled like baby powder and came with pacifiers, those were my favorite)
77. i also collected strawberry shortcake dolls, in an amazing basket that my mom made for me to keep them in. and my little ponies too, although i didn't have a cool basket for them
78. my brother and i shared a room once for about 6 months, we had red, metal bunkbeds
79. i lived in eight different houses growing up. my parents never stayed in one house longer than 4 years
80. i also attended 11 different school before i went to college at westmont
81. i learned how to make new friends easily when i was young, i had to!
82. i used to bite my fingernails until they bled. i remember going to the nurses office regularly to get bandaids for them
83. i went through a stage when i was young where i was all about "the bars." i did all kinds of crazy tricks, spins, and dismounts during recess everyday
84. i love apple computers
85. i love benefit and arbonne makeup. i really like arbonne, all their products.
86. my favorite time of day is twilight
87. i love warm summer nights, especially when swimming is involved
88. one of my favorite places on the planet is the Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii
89. i love silver or white gold jewlery. i'm trying to get into the yellow gold but it's still growing on me.
90. i loved getting engaged on my 25th birthday. it was amazing, brent surprised me and asked me at our special place - san clemente
91. i wish college had lasted longer, maybe just one more year, i think it was too short.
92. i think the several years when i lived in an apartment in Carpinteria was my favorite time in life so far (don't get me wrong, i LOVE being married and living with brent. that was just a special time for me)
93. brent, my dad, and todd (my brother) are the funniest people i know
94. i can't flare my nostrils but i wish i could. i can, however, curl my tongue in strange ways
95. i love to tickle and i am not ticklish
96. i wish i was a little more athletic
97. i like to be spontaneous, and i like romance
98. i watch hardly any tv and i don't know ANYTHING about celebrity gossip (which my friends at work just can't understand and laugh about regularly)
99. my hands are strange, i can't count with my fingers when i start with the thumb. my pinky always comes up before the ring finger and it looks funny. i am laughed at on a regular basis
100. i've never been to the OC fair or Universal Studios (even though i grew up here).
