Wiffle Ball Day

We hosted our annual Wiffle Ball Day on Memorial Day. It was a beautiful day to be outside, playing a little ball. Our usual spot was open and the game was enjoyed by all! Here are a few photos from our day...

We served a yummy breakfast before the game and then had a bbq with burgers and dogs after the game. It was a fun filled day. Our little house served us well, we fed over twenty people, two meals!!
Mark, Abe, and G enjoying breakfast outside

Casey and Brent eating on the lawn

Huy took this photo and then made it black and white. Fun! They played with the football in the front while waiting for breakfast to be served (it took just a bit longer than we had hoped).

Huy and the Saukkola brothers

It was great to have Sara and Bungi there... we are really enjoying having them back from New Zealand and getting to spend time with them again.

Little Malia Timmons joined in the festivities this year. It was fun to have Hilary and Tim there. Elizabeth really enjoyed spending time with Malia. She was adorable in her little yellow dress!

Here is the group at the end of the day... most were quite exhausted and happy. It was great to spend a whole day together... thanks everyone for joining us. Looking forward to Wiffle Ball '08 already!

Flo's Baby Shower

Flo was one Hot Mommy-to-be at her shower a couple of Saturday's ago. Kim's cousin, Laura (whom we lovingly call Flo) is having a baby and we are all very excited about it. She was at the 6 month mark on the day of the shower and her little belly is adorable. We can't wait to meet Baby Panfilio when he/she arrives in late August or early September. The Panflio fam just moved to Fresno a few months ago and we miss them. But Laura's mom and sister are happy that she is only a few short hours from them now. We enjoyed having the shower for her and spoiling her before he big delivery day!
The flowers were beautiful on the tables... the yellow table cloths were a bit much, but it was "hot" and that was our theme! Flo loves bright colors.
Evelyn, Kim and Laura

Kim and Evelyn made little party favors for everyone... Baby Panfilio was the theme, of course!
Natalie and Joanne Meyers came down from Central and Northern Cal to celebrate with Laura. It was really fun to see them. The Morses and the Meyers have been friends a really long time!
We served a really fun dessert for the women! The little pots are filled with ice cream and then topped with oreo cookie crumbs to look like dirt. A gerber daisy stem fit into a straw down the center. It was a big hit!!
Evelyn, Kim, Laura, Jen, Mar... look at those twins... are they cute or what?

Overall the shower was a success! Laura got all kinds of wonderful gifts for the little one. Now we just wait until he or she comes (they are NOT going to find out before hand!!) FUN!

Jen's 30th Celebration

Kim had a great time celebrating Jen's big 3-0 in Vegas this last weekend. Jen was all smiles the whole time. 12 girls were there to celebrate. They had 3 hotel rooms, and rented a "villa" by the pool on Saturday. It was a treat to get away and relax, even though Kim doesn't love Vegas. She loves Jen more than she dislikes Vegas so it was worth it. And the Paris Hotel was great! Here are a few pics from the weekend...

Bowling at the Lucky Strike on Friday night...
At one point Jen and Kim both had a score of 30 at the same time. They liked that!

On Saturday evening they took a limo over to the Hard Rock Hotel for dinner at Simon's Kitchen and Bar. It was awesome to go in the limo. Jen was HOT!Jen accidentally blew out the candle on her dessert plate BEFORE we could sing to her. It was really funny. The dessert was YUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMY!

On Saturday night they walked across the bridge, over the strip, to get to the Belagio for the water and light show...
It was beautiful... after the show they went to Bally's so Jen could play a little Blackjack. She won $110.00!!

Vegas Baby, Vegas

Okay, so still no new photos because our internet is not working at home. But that's okay.

Kim is getting ready to head to Vegas this weekend for her cousin Jen's 30th birthday bash. She will be bowling at the Lucky Strike, staying at the Paris Hotel, and laying by the pool... all in celebration of Jen!! She is really looking forward to celebrating Jen, as Jen is VERY good at celebrating others. Should be really fun.

Brent will be home this weekend, attending classes and hanging out. He is enjoying this last semester or school and excited about what God has next.

We should be able to get some new pics up here soon. Laura's baby shower last weekend was really fun. Kim's parent's house looked like Easter with yellow table cloths, and multi-colored napkins. The flowers were beautiful however. We made a really fun dessert and it seemed that all enjoyed playing the games. Laura was blessed and that's all that matters.

Now off the plan for Vegas...

a great weekend...

life has gotten busy for us these days. work is insane for kim right now... it is the busy season at lindamood-bell - getting ready for summer, training, meeting with parents, hiring new staff - it's busy. brent's job with boeing is slowly coming to an end. we are praying about where God wants him next and trusting Him to provide just the right setting. brent leaves for mozambique in july. he is looking forward to mozambique with some of his classmates from the kingdom school. he got his shots this week, his arm is hurting.

outside of work kim is busy planning a baby shower for her cousin laura next weekend (baby panfilio is due at the end of august). and getting ready for a raging trip to vegas for her cousin jen's 30th birthday later in may. should be a fun weekend.

so... this weekend we decided just to take it easy. we are just hanging out. we slept in this morning. we are planning just to relax all day and the same tomorrow. kim is very excited about this. it is our only weekend for the next several months that brent does not have school. usually he is in class friday nights and saturdays. we enjoy time together greatly. its good to connect and get a chance to talk about things that we often don't get time for these days. o

our friends melissa and dan are expecting a baby later this month. Caleb Barnett is due May 31st. we are looking forward to that and a reason to take a trip to santa barbara, one of our favorite places. speaking of santa barbara, we had some very good friends visit in the last month from santa barbara, lisa and scott walters. they brought their kids, addison and cameron. we had a great time with them, the kids are so precious. it was our first time having little ones in our home... we had no idea our home was not "kid ready"... it isn't. they were into everything, just being kids. we realized some changes will need to be made once little Z's come into our home. we have some time still before that happens. no news there for those that are wondering.

since it has been a while since we posted anything we thought it would good just to write a little. we have no photos to share right now but really... isn't that how blogs are supposed to work anyway?

Some old pictures of us...

Our story really starts in high school. Kim asked Brent to the Sadie Hawkins dance and they wore matching shirts, jeans, and even matching Vans. The other two are our friends Monica and Steve.

We were friends for a long time first... we went on a trip to Palm Springs together during our senior year at Villa Park High School. Our friends, Sarah, Monica, and Jill were there too!

Then on a very HOT day in June 1996, we graduated from high school together... and started dating a few weeks later. At the end of the summer we left for college - Brent to USC and Kim to Westmont in Santa Barbara.

We dated for the first two years of college, seeing each other on weekends and during the summer. We spent many a summer day at Brent's family beach house in San Clemente.

Grandma June turns 80!

Yep! Kim's Grandma June turned 80 on April 1, 2007. We had a big party at Kim's parent's house. And Grandma June was all smiles! She got to see many old friends, eat some of her favorite foods, and sing to an audience. It was wonderful to honor her 80 years of life!

Her cousin, Alfred, came all the way from Pennsylvania for the big event! He sang a solo and a duet with grandma June for the evening entertainment.

Grandma June loved telling stories all night... one has many good stories by the time they are 80! We enjoyed hearing them!

She got to wear a tiara at dinner! The theme of the evening was "sparkle" and jewelry! Her fav...

She
embarrassed Kim's mom when she talked about how well Evelyn takes care of her! It was so cute!

Kim did the centerpieces for the tables... all pink! The tables turned out amazing. So beautiful!

Todd was home!
It was great to see him... and in a shirt and tie! WOW!

Kate and Laura were there too! It was such a blessing to have Laura there to help... she was awesome and did so much for Evelyn!

We had a great time!

At the end of the night Kim helped Grandma open her gifts... she got so many nice things!

Brent's parents joined us for the big occasion. They love Grandma June!

Ted enjoys being the center of attention... just kidding! We made him pose like this...

Kim's parents really out-did themselves with this party. It was amazing! Thank you!!

Evelyn had a wonderful time and did such an amazing job on the planning the whole party. Her feet were dying by the end. Ray was kind enough to rub her feet!

Our friends agreed to serve at the party! It was fun to have them there and they were AWESOME! They did such a good job. Thank you Allison, Allegra, Christan, Sean, and Shannon!!
