Bean's Party...

Oh boy... the Bean finally got his birthday party!
And it was fun!

He had a blast helping Daddy and Poppy clean the backyard in the morning...
And then... it was
PARTY TIME...
sock monkey party time that is!

The decorations are my favorite part of parties... and I had a blast doing this one!
The front door...
Sock Monkey wreath
Cake made by Kristy Damron was beautiful!

The dessert table... mmmmm
Bean's cupcake!
Photo collage... one for each month he has been alive!
The best sock monkey ever from Aunt Karen made an appearance...
The drink table... yes, that is a sock monkey dog bed we used for the kids drinks!
Thanks Brent!
Centerpieces

Time to play... we broke out Asher's new water table from Gma Linda... he and Cole loved playing in the water.
When we were setting up for the party we found these baby birds nesting in the outdoor couch. They are so so tiny and amazing. We couldn't move the couch onto the lawn the way we'd planned because we didn't want their mother to abandon them.
Family... Uncle Jeff, Boppo, Aunt Barb, and Gigi
Friends... Beth and baby Shay
Auntie Steph was there to give the bean some love.
Dinner time...

Then CAKE TIME...
no crying during the singing of
H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y

this time.
He was as happy as can be with his little cupcake!
oooo.. fire!

Our little birthday boy!

Makin' a birthday mess!

Mmmmm...
ahh, not really... he actually didn't really like the cake and spit out most pieces that he put in.
OH BEAN!
Our little sock monkey

TIme for presents...
Owen and Christian wanted to help!

Uncle Adam and Aunt Dani making some funny faces...
Uncle D and Aunt Min made it for the big day!
Christian enjoying a little dancing while he waited for the next gift
Bean ended up with a monkey on his back! He had NO idea! :)

At the end of the night I got to snuggle with baby Shay. It was a highlight for sure... she is just the sweetest thing!

Happy birthday Asher Bean!
Mommy and Daddy love you so much.
You are the best.
(And congratulations to us for making it through a whole year as parents!)

Our Time in Texas

Linda's memorial service was beautiful.
We loved the time with family.

We enjoyed Sweet Sammies 3 times while in Ft. Worth...
and a little Putt Putt golf with the cousins.
Per usual, Brent was quite entertaining.
And just to make him happy I will announce that,
yes, he was the winner of the Putt Putt tournament.

Happy Mother's Day to me!

Brent made me a wonderful breakfast this morning and then surprised me with a new bike seat for the Bean on my bike! SO FUN! Bean loves his new seat. He gave us the "stink face" when we got him out today after riding around for 45 mins! OH BEAN!
Thank you husband... I love being a mother to our son!

fun times at the park...

Daddy took the Bean to the new park in Ladera again today.
He had a blast!
He loves golf balls and golf clubs

Bean loves those tunnels.
They didn't quite make it home in time for his nap.
He fell asleep in the 4 minute drive home. :)
